Rational 5:
This was an incredible opportunity for the children to do something fun. Learning through play about
Tally marks and numbers within a group or individually. The children were writing and recording results through play, sharing bean bags with their peer’s developing socially and emotional interaction through play developing a sense of self-initiated and creative learning in a group or individually. Then the kids recorded their thoughts on estimate baskets on the chart then their tally marks of how many actual baskets they did achieve. Comparing and contrasting
their ideas with what really happened. After all the children have completed their recording of the tally marks, then we compared short basket to tall basket shots by each individual child. We then I helped totaled up their tally's and they recalled what their estimates on total baskets the difference and their thoughts on this.
