Hello,
My name is Cindy Peck. My current profession is the owner of an in home day care center: Advantage Child Care. I try every day to give my students, that extra advantage they will need to be successful in today’s world.
I have lived in Michigan all my life. I have attended Ferris State University, and I am continuing my education at Oakland Community College where I will graduate in the winter with Associates in Early Childhood. I will then continue on to Rochester College to achieve my bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood
Education.
I have been working with children for 12 years. I did not always know I wanted to be a teacher, I have reinvented myself many times, I have been a business women, a stay home mom and lastly and most
importantly a teacher’s assistant in the child care field. I loved going to work every day and seeing there bright young minds just bursting with ideas and creativity. This is when I realized, I wanted to be a teacher.
I wanted to give back to the families and children of Oxford. My expertise in the childcare and educational field is limitless. Children who are ages 0 to 5 are at a very special time in their lives. They are full of questions and
curiosity; their brains are like little sponges just waiting to absorb all that wonderful knowledge.
Now I know where my true destiny is. It is helping young children learn and accept themselves for who they are and truly see how great it is to be a child. Going to work everyday is so very exciting to see their happy and excited faces when they walk through my door, I know it is going to be a great day, because every day spent making a difference in a child’s life is the best day ever.
